Shorewood Village Administrator Out
Shorewood Village Administrator Jeff Fiegenschuh only lasted six months.

Administrator Jeff Fiegenschuh is out after only six months on the job.
"He needed to go so I made the resignation effective yesterday," Mayor Rick Chapman said of Fiegenschuh.
Chapman said Fiegenschuh is experiencing "personal problems" but declined to elaborate.

Fiegenschuh started with Shorewood on Nov. 14. Prior to taking the job, he was the city manager in Princeton.
Fiegenschuh was selected from a pool of 100 applicants compiled by a private firm and winnowed down to six finalists. He was hired at a reported salary of $112,000.

The entire village board — with the exception of Trustee Steve Brockman — voted in favor of hiring Fiegenschuh.
Fiegenschuh replaced long-time Village Administrator Kurt Carroll who to become the village administrator in New Lenox.
Chapman said he will begin the task of finding a new village administrator immediately.
"I'll be starting the head-hunting process," he said.
