Snowflake Ballroom Dance at The Timbers

The Del Bergeson Orchestra and vocalist Sandi Haynes will provide the music for a “Snowflake Ballroom Dance” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road, Shorewood. The public is warmly welcome to the free event.

Members of the orchestra are 25+ year music professionals, each with a deep passion for music and entertaining. Several members are music instructors teaching at the university level.

Vocalist Sandi Haynes has a voice that mimics the torch songs of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee. For the past 18 years, Haynes has been performing in the Chicagoland area with many great Chicago orchestras including the Pete Ellman Big Band and the Brass Tracks Jazz Orchestra.

“The Timbers’ ballroom dances are filled with quality music and contagious energy,” said Faith Varga, executive director at The Timbers. “These events are well attended by the public, and everyone has a wonderful time.”

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care
