Squealing Tires Lead To DUI Arrest: Cops

The following information is from the Shorewood Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Retail Theft (Warrant) - Possession Of A Controlled Substance

Susan M. Padilla, 46, of the 1100 block of Rosewood St., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting/obstructing and failure to signal during a traffic stop at Huntington Drive and Westwood Court at 9:39 p.m. Dec. 18. Passenger Scott H. Bulow, 50, of the 1100 block of Rosewood St., was charged on a Will County warrant for retail theft in the same incident.

Possession Of A Controlled Substance

Amanda Aguinaga, 20, Plainfield was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, driving with a suspended license and having no insurance after a stop in the 500 block of Brookforest Avenue at 6:23 p.m. Dec. 20. Aguinaga was arrested after a random license plate check.

Failure To Secure Child

Carlos Hunter, 36, of Joliet was stopped at Black Road and Summit Creek Drive at 11:14 a.m. Dec. 20 and charged with no valid driver's license, failure to secure child, improper display of registration and a Du Page County warrant for having no valid driver's license.

Squealing Tires

Brandon M. Reyes, 22, Plainfield was charged with a DUI, squealing tires and having no insurance after a stop at Brookforest Avenue and East Jefferson Street at 1:25 a.m. Dec. 23. Reyes was arrested after his vehicle was stopped for squealing tires

Domestic Battery

Monica Williamson, 53, of the 800 block of Summit Creek Drive, was charged with domestic battery at 5:49 p.m. Dec. 26 at her residence.
