The 45’s Bring Back the Jukebox Music of the ‘40s – ‘60s at The Timbers of Shorewood
This duo is a real crowd-pleaser.

The duo The 45’s will perform Sept. 1 in the ballroom of The Timbers of Shorewood.
The show at the 1100 N. River Road retirement community starts at 7 p.m.
The 45's were formed in 2004 by two friendly guys — Mel and Gary —with the ability to put over a song with a lot of feeling. They each loved the good old days of the jukebox - hence their name was born.

Their first performance was at an assisted living facility in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. From there they began playing for hundreds of other senior living establishments, park districts, private parties, weddings, luncheons and dances.
Everywhere they go, they have won over the crowds with their crazy costumes and props, and their humorous interaction with each other as well as their audiences. Their audiences would add, however, that great voices sure help.

They bring back memories from Elvis to country to Rat Pack. If someone wants a special theme or even a specific song, Mel and Gary always try to accommodate. Along with the upbeat and ballad oldies, they sprinkle in some Broadway music, country western, and sing-a-longs.
One website testimonial reads: "At every occasion The 45’s have entertained us, it has been a memorable one. We have had so much fun, and they have received rave reviews from our families and residents. At our last party, some of our 80- to 90-year-old residents actually formed a 'kick line!' They have us laughing and crying. Their music and antics are unlike any others."
