The Phantom of The Timbers of Shorewood

The Alba Trio will perform songs from the Broadway musical "Phantom of the Opera" at The Timbers.

The Alba Trio of Tri-L-Co Music will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at , 1100 N. River Road.

The Alba Trio entertains audiences with classical, jazz and pop inspired sounds.

Carlyn Lloyd of Villa Park (flute), Steve Winkler of Lombard (violin), and Jill Keading of Chicago (cello) will be performing classical songs from The Phantom of the Opera in accordance with the Halloween season. In addition to selections from The Phantom of the Opera they also plan to play the dark tunes of Joplin, Mozart, Chopin, Grieg, and others.

“We love to make music and share that joy with our audiences in special ways,” Lloyd said. “Each of the musicians will dress as a different character. I will be dressed as Carmen (from the opera, “Carmen”), Steve will be dressed as the Phantom and Jill will dress as a witch.”

Carlyn Lloyd founded Tri-L-Co Music in 1984 to help promote live classical and jazz music in a variety of situations. Each of the ensembles is comprised of professional musicians and performs a vast assortment of literature. The company utilizes a variety of instruments from all the musical families (woodwind, brass, percussion, string, and keyboard).

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community. It provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay — a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
