The Timbers Gets A Little Bit Country

Country-western singer Christine Stapleton is coming to the Timbers.

Country-western singer Christine Stapleton will perform the classic songs of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette, among others, at on Oct. 13.

The 6:30 p.m. show at the 1100 N. River Road retirement community is free and open to the public.

Stapleton began singing 19 years ago at an office Christmas party. After her debut karaoke performance, where she sang Cline’s “Crazy,” she continued singing karaoke for several years.

A professional singer for the past six years, Stapleton has performed at the Grundy County Fair, the Grundy County Speedway and the Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.

Stapleton and her husband, Dan, now own a karaoke business called “Krazy Karaoke.”

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community. It provides independent and assisted living apartments as well as a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay — a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
