We at the Shorewood Patch might admit we're a little biased when it comes to Shorewood and how great we think it is, only we're not biased at all.

Shorewood is just a fantastic place. There's no denying it. And fantastic things happen here all the time.

Troy firefighters battle blaze, get injured man to hospital

A massive fire gutted a Cottage Street auto repair shop, but Troy firefighters saved neighboring businesses and a pair of adjacent apartments. A mechanic suffered burns to his arm in the blaze and was taken to Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.

Village board OKs another brand new four-wheel drive SUV

First, the administrative commander at the police department got a 2011 Chevy Tahoe, now the town's building inspector's getting a 2012 Ford Escape. Does the mayor get a car? We hope it's a sturdy one.
