Three Rivers Soccer Club holding Little Champions program from kids 3 to 6
Three Rivers Soccer Club will host the Little Champions camp to teach basic soccer skills to children ages 3 to 6.

JOLIET — Three Rivers Soccer Club will hold an instructional program for children ages 3 to 6 to teach kids basic soccer skills and concepts.
The Little Champions program will be held Tuesdays, Feb. 14 to March 21, at Troy Craughwell Elementary School, 3333 Black Road in Joliet. Children ages 3 to 4 will meet from 5 to 5:45 p.m., and kids ages 5 to 6 will meet from 6 to 7 p.m.
The cost for the six-week program is $50 for 3- and 4-year-olds and $65 for 5- and 6-year-olds. Participants should wear athletic wear and shoes and bring a soccer ball, shin guards and a water bottle.

Little Champions will be taught by Three Rivers Soccer Club’s licensed, professional coaches. Boys and girls will learn introductory skills and foundational concepts as a groundwork for playing soccer.
“During this program, kids will learn to work as a team, communication skills, listening skills, building friendships, confidence and decision-making, which are all positive habits that will help them in everyday life,” said Frazer Galt, the club’s director of coaching.

Three Rivers Soccer Club, based in Channahon and Minooka, fields boys’ and girls’ teams from the U7/U8 age group through high school. Players hail from Will and Grundy counties, including Joliet, Shorewood, Plainfield, Minooka, Channahon and Morris.
