Troy 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team Plays At State
Team will play for 3rd in State on Thursday, Feb. 20
The Troy 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team advanced to the final four in the 4A State Tournament last weekend, beating Lemont’s Old Quarry Middle School 39-38. In the State Semifinal game, East St. Louis Lincoln defeated the Troy Trojans 54-46, and the team will play Champaign Edison Thursday, February 20, for 3rd place.
Team members are Jimmy Anderson, Richard Gavins, Troy Hudak, Cael Karczewski, Drew King, Kyle Koerner, Adriel Lestz, Breyon Luckett, Justus McNair, James Pilapil, Michael Smith, Jax Todd, Drew Wills and Owen Young.
The coach is Clint Reames.
