Troy Middle School Academic Teams Take First At Academic Bowl

Both of the Troy Middle School Scholastic Bowl teams brought home first place trophies from the recent Providence Catholic High School 19th Annual Junior High Academic Bowl.

In addition, several of the Troy students placed in their subject areas

Placing for the eighth grade team were Ivan Chen (1st, science), Aubrey Lynch (3rd, math), Paige Rakes (3rd, social studies), Shradha Verma (3rd geography) and Vincent Lukas (5th, science).

Placing for the seventh grade team were Ben Klein (1st, science), Tehya Murakami (1st, ELA), Alex Randolph (2nd, math), Caiden Koerner (4th, social studies) and Jorgia Smidl (4th, math).

Other team members who contributed to the achievements are Kendall Adelmann, Caden Baudek, Eva Beck, Chase Farkas, Matilda Marks, Emily McCune, Lucy Offerman, Cole Pearson, Quinn Preis, Gavin Ringhofer, Kevin Trizna, Andrea Uzdzinski and Elijah Zamoras.

The team’s sponsor is Troy Middle School Science Capstone teacher Dr. Barbara Will-Henn.

“We are especially proud of all of these students who worked very hard to bring home these trophies,” Will-Henn said.
