Troy Names New Finance Director, Transportation Ass't Director

The Troy Community School District 30-C school board named two new administrators at its February meeting. The administrators are to replace current staff who are vacating their positions in June.

Dawn Malleris was appointed to the position of Assistant Director of Transportation, replacing Mark Baumann, who becomes Director of Transportation in July. Current Director of Transportation Lucille Feeney retires in June.

Malleris began serving the Troy district in 2009 as a bus driver, then later as both a driver and a lunchroom supervisor at Troy Heritage Trail Elementary School.

A Shorewood resident, Malleris has served as Troy Transportation Department Safety Coordinator and Dispatcher for the past two-and-a-half years.

Ellen Wandless was hired as Troy’s Director of Finance. She replaces Elaine Colombo who is retiring in June. Since 2011, Wandless has served as Business Manager/District Office Manager/Treasurer to the Board of Education at Wilmington School District 209U. Prior to that position, she was the Director of Tax Extension for the Kankakee County Clerk.

She also has had tax extension experience at Will and Cook counties.

Wandless earned her Bachelor Degree in political science from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of St. Francis. She is a Wilmington resident.
