The attorneys for accused wife-killer Drew Peterson filed court papers once again requesting that the disgraced former Bolingbrook cop be let out of jail.

The felony charges filed against Shorewood teen Jacob Gajcak in connection with an alleged drug ripoff that left a woman with a broken arm after she was run over by a car were reduced to misdemeanors. A spokesman for the state's attorney's office said the charges might be boosted back up to felonies after the matter is further investigated.

Woman found guilty of murdering man other people actually killed
Mary Vetor, 25, of Joliet was convicted of murdering a Channahon man who was shot in the head in 2009. Somebody else actually shot Joshua Terdic, but Vetor supplied the gun, helped with devising the ingenious robbery plan, and gave a lift to the two men who allegedly carried out the killing.
