West Nile Mosquitoes Found in Village

The village is spraying to cut down on the mosquito population. Info available on how to protect yourself and get rid of breeding grounds.

As a follow up to your July 18, 2012, , on July 24 the Village of received word from the they recovered a mosquito in a trap which tested positive for the virus. 

Coincidently, the village had a mosquito spraying that evening and will continue to do so for the duration of the summer.

The health department will continue to monitor the area and they advised we were the fourth municipality to test positive for the virus this year. 

This information will also be posted soon on the village website as well as any additional information we may obtain from Will County.
