Words & Music: American Troubadours
Thursday, March 3rd at 6:00pm at the Joliet Area Historical Museum!

Author David Masciotra will be joined by singer/songwriter Kev Wright for a very special presentation.
The duo will lead the audience through a tour of the American troubadour tradition, paying particular attention to the songs of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and John Mellencamp.
Masciotra spends the evening describing the American Troubadour tradition. That is, the telling of stories through song. He gives an overall depiction of it and then turns his focus to Woody Guthrie, who wrote “This Land is Your Land”, Dylan, Springsteen, and Mellencamp.
It is important to note that all of these songwriters were and are from towns similar to Joliet. Musician Kev Wright joins him with musical accompaniment.
