2 Charged After Traffic Stop in Skokie

Police charged two men in a stolen car in connection with recent forgeries and a burglary.

SKOKIE, IL - A Tuesday traffic stop in Skokie netted two felony arrests.

Skokie police stopped a vehicle for having an expired license plate in the 4800 block of Oakton Street and arrested both occupants - Patrick M. Allen, 32, Schaumburg and Eduars A. Jacquin, 27 - in connection with separate crimes.

Allen was charged with two felony counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, one felony count of burglary, one felony count of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of resisting a police officer after police discovered the vehicle was stolen and Allen was suspected in a burglary which occurred last month in the 4700 block of Howard Street.

Jacquin was charged with five felony counts of forgery, one felony count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to a motor vehicle in connection with numerous forgeries.

Bond for Jacquin was set at $10,000. For Allen, it was set at $2,500. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.
