423 Pounds Of Weed, Several Guns Found In Skokie Home: Chicago PD
Chicago police investigating a drug-dealing North Side gang got a warrant to search the man's Skokie home.

SKOKIE, IL — Chicago police said an investigation into marijuana sales on the North Side by a criminal street gang led to the discovery 423 pounds of marijuana and several guns at the home of Skokie man. Tactical officers carried out a search warrant around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the 4800 block of North Kirk Street and discovered a large amount of cash, four handguns, a shotgun and cannabis worth more than $3 million on the street, according to police.
David S. Gutierrez, 31, who lives at the house, was arrested and charged with felony manufacturing or delivery of cannabis, five misdemeanor counts of unlawful use of a weapon and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Chicago police in the 20th District, which includes the Uptown, Ravenswood and Albany Park neighborhoods, described Gutierrez as a "major Northside supplier" and thanked Skokie police for their assistance.

Gutierrez appeared in bond court Saturday, and as of Monday he was being held at Cook County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond. He is due back in court Wednesday.
