Act FAST: Knowing the Symptoms of Stroke

With a stroke, every second counts. May is National Stroke Awareness Month, and Presence Saint Francis Hospital is reminding the community that early detection is critical in caring for stroke. Remember, act FAST.

• Face: Does one side of the face droop?
• Arms: Does one arm drift downward?
• Speech: Is speech slurred or strange?
• Time: If you observe any of the above, call 911 immediately.
