• Skokie OKs 15% water bill hikes, lead line replacement linked to infamous water main break (chicagotribune.com) — Skokie households will see about a 15% water rate hike starting this fall as the village funds major water, sewer, and flood-control upgrades after last year's disastrous main break. Officials are also expanding and slightly increasing costs for the lead service line replacement cost‑share program, with new rebates available for residents who already replaced lines since 2022.
