BBQ for the Troops at Evanston Subaru

On Saturday, July 19th, Evanston Subaru
in Skokie is hosting a USO fundraiser; “Barbecue for the Troops”. From 11:30am
to 2:30pm everyone is welcome to enjoy a BBQ lunch and donate to help our
troops.

Evanston Subaru in Skokie is joining a national USO campaign to help raise
awareness for the services needed by our military and their families.

Rob Paddor, owner of Evanston Subaru in Skokie says, he has supported the USO,
Ride 2 Recovery and military families for many years.  This is the second annual Barbecue for the
Troops that his dealership has participated. 
Last year the Chicago-area automobile dealers raised $37,500 for the USO
of Illinois by hosting a BBQs.



Evanston Subaru’s BBQ will feature classic American hamburgers, hot dogs and
brats with all the fixings. All made to order. Donations are encouraged.
Evanston Subaru is also offering car washes while guests enjoy their BBQ lunch,
for an additional donation to the USO.

The national “Barbecue for the Troops” campaign kicked off on Memorial Day and

This week, Mr. Paddor is traveling to Paris, France and is cycling with Ride 2
Recovery in the Normandy Challenge.  It’s
an 11-day fundraising ride, to help America’s wounded veterans. The Normandy
Challenge riders will visit many historic sites of World War II, including the
American Cemetery in Normandy, with stops at Utah and Omaha beaches and small
museums along the 370 kilometers (230 mile) route.
