Board Member Blasts Community for Bullying
District 219 member says community has shamed and threatened board members. "It's not like we run around naked in the middle of the night."

SKOKIE, IL - A Niles Township High School District 219 board of education member had some harsh words for members of the community she feels have been bullying her cohorts on the board.
Outgoing board Vice President Linda Lampert claimed there are “several” people in the school community who “apparently feel it’s appropriate to bully, shame and threaten members of this board of education for their own agenda regarding board positions” at a recent meeting, according to the Skokie Review.
"I do not know anyone on this board who does not keep the constituents in mind when taking a vote," Lampert said. "The rumors about some of my fellow board members are disrespectful and ridiculous.”

She took exception to the perceived notion by the community that board members have a key to the school and can enter anytime they want.

"Guess what?" Lampert said. "When I became a board member I received a key. I used it once. We do not run around naked in the middle of the night or whatever you think inappropriate actions are taking place."
