Six years of research contributed to Hunting Down the Jews: Vichy, Nazis and
Mafia Collaborators in Provence 1942-1944, Isaac Levendel’s penetrating
analysis of Nazi and Vichy antisemitic policy. The book is also rooted in his
decades-long search for answers to his mother’s disappearance on D-Day, June 6,
1944, and the discovery of its perpetrator, which resulted in his previous
book, Not the Germans Alone, a Son’s
Search for the Truth of Vichy. A book signing will follow.
