Hollywood in Rosemont

Over 30 celebrities of past and present are attending the Hollywood Show Chicago to meet fans, pose for pictures and sign autographs. If you like Hollywood stars or memorabilia, this show is for you.

Today I attended the Hollywood Show Chicago in Rosemont, held at the Hilton on 5550 North River Road.  The show, which runs through Sunday, is the area’s best event to meet all sorts of Hollywood celebrities.  They also have many vendor tables full of great memorabilia.  I have been going to their shows for about 15 years and they consistently bring in interesting different stars.

This year featured a reunion of the stars of tv’s Lost in Space, including June Lockhart, Angela Cartwright, Billy Mumy, Marta Kristen and even the legendary robot.  Also appearing were Loni Anderson, Robert Loggia and about 25 other well known stars of yesterday and today.

The highlights for me were meeting two of my favorites, Barbara Feldon of tv’s Get Smart and Jackie Zeman of tv’s General Hospital.  Both ladies looked great and really took time with each fan to give us all a great experience.  I admit, I had crushes on both of them in my younger years (okay, maybe even still).

Moving over to the vendor area, I ran into Jacques and Haley Baron.  The couple was taking time away from Resistance Pro, the exciting wrestling company they run with Billy Corgan (of Smashing Pumpkins fame) and Gabe Baron (brother of Jacques) to sell Hollywood memorabilia from their other business, Judas Posters.  They have really cool stuff at great prices.

The Hollywood Show comes to Rosemont twice a year and I wish it came more.  The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and most important, the celebrities are all very fan-friendly.

You still have time to catch the show on Sunday.  I might just go back there again, because it is so much fun.
