Promoting Social Competency in Children with ASD and ADHD

This talk will provide participants with a developmental overview and practical strategies to teach children with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD useful social skills.

On May 8th from 6:30-8PM at Rush NeuroBehavioral Center in Skokie, Bernadette Evans-Smith, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director of RNBC, will provide participants with a developmental overview and practical strategies to teach children with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD useful social skills.

Dr. Evans-Smith has over twenty years experience helping children with social emotional learning challenges. She has presented at conferences regarding treatment for social challenges with a current research emphasis on the impact of mindfulness on attention and behavior regulation. Dr. Evans-Smith also developed the I-SELF©, a group therapy treatment protocol.
