Car Drove Into Skokie Best Buy, Burglary Suspects On Loose

Police are asking the public's help after three stolen cars were involved in a Skokie Best Buy burglary.

SKOKIE, IL — A Skokie Best Buy became the scene of a crime early on the Fourth of July when thieves drove a car through the store's window, according to reports. Skokie police found the car crashed through the store's front window around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police said three vehicles were involved in the Best Buy burglary in the 5400 block of Touhy Avenue heading east. One car was found in the store and two others were used to escape, police said, according to ABC7.

While fleeing the scene, a Buick Enclave SUV hit a police car at Niles Center Road and hit a police car. The driver then got into a Volkswagen that drove away south.

ABC7 reports police as saying all three cars involved were stolen out of Chicago.

Police investigating the burglary asked anyone with information to call 847-982-5900.
