D219 Seeking Nominations for Distinguished Alumni

Niles West High School is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumnus Award. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is given to select Niles West alumni. This selection is made based on the following criteria:

1. Achievement in his/her field
2. Contribution to society
3. Candidate must have attended a District 219 school for at least 3 years and must have graduated from Niles West.
4. Appreciation/Influence of Niles West on accomplishments
5. Must be able to provide a speech to the graduating class for this year's Accolades Ceremony. Virtual or in-person is TBD.

Nominations will be accepted until February 19, 2021.

Niles North High School is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumnus Award. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is given to select Niles North alumni. The selection is made based on the following criteria:

1. graduated from Niles North,
2. attended at least three years of high school at a District 219 high school (this can also include Niles East),
3. has made a significant contribution to his or her field and/or in the community, and
4. had a meaningful experience as a student at Niles North High School.

The recipient of this award will be asked to attend North’s annual Awards of Distinction program to accept their award and give a brief speech about their experiences in high school and post high school. The Awards of Distinction will take place in May. At this ceremony, current students are also recognized for their accomplishments in areas of athletics, scholarship, and community engagement.
