Dempster Street Construction Expected to Last 3 Weeks

Work on the eastbound lanes of the Skokie thoroughfare has begun during overnight hours.

SKOKIE, IL - The construction on Dempster Street between Gross Point Road and Niles Center Road that began this week in Skokie is expected to remain in effect for about three weeks, according to a recent village memo.

Work on the area is scheduled to take place on weekdays between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m.

The work will be confined to the eastbound lanes of Dempster Street, and at least one lane is expected to open to traffic at all times.
