Details Regarding Superintendent's Resignation Won't be Disclosed
Lincolnwood District 74 board members told the media that they are 'legally obligated' not to disclose any compensation information regarding superintendent Mark Klaisner's resignation.

The compensation details regarding won't be disclosed, according to Lincolnwood District 74 board president Amy Frankel.
If there was any sort of compensation, Klaisner would have been paid with taxpayer money, yet Frankel said she is "legally obligated" not to disclose any details regarding the former superintendent's resignation.
"The terms of the resignation was that I can't disclose that [information]," Frankel said after Wednesday night's board meeting.

The board president did note that Klaisner has reimbursed the school district for his cell phone for the 2011 calendar year. She also added that the former superintendent returned his 2011 Cadillac CTS shortly after his resignation on Tuesday night. The vehicle is now on district premise, she said.

Meanwhile, the school district is managing its day-to-day operations with several qualified administrators, Frankel said. Two of the district's principals are certified to be superintendents. District 74 is also getting help from outside government agencies to guide them through the recent vacancies.
"We're working through all that right now," she said. "This week is a little hectic, but we have a very competent staff and administration."
Correction - It was originally reported that the district vehicle was returned to the dealership. This was not true, the vehicle was returned and is now on district 74 property.
