Detour On Main Street Due To Water Main Repairs

SKOKIE, IL — A detour is in place on Main Street in Skokie for repairs to a water main Tuesday. Road closures are in effect between East Prairie Road and Springfield Avenue while the village's public works crews carry out the fix. Drivers heading west on Main will be detoured north at Prairie to Clifford Terrace, then west to Springfield and back to Main. Village officials said the project is expected to continue "through Tuesday," and suggested motorists find an alternate route.
