DOES YOUR CHILD NEED A SPEECH-LANGUAGE OR LEARNING EVALUATION?
Children in early education through high school and college may benefit from speech-language and cognitive evaluations.
Children in early education through high school and college may benefit from speech-language and cognitive evaluations to help measure development and maximize communication and learning abilities.
Evaluations assess a range of issues affecting children’s academic and social development. Verbal and receptive language abilities such as stuttering, pragmatic social skills, learning issues, autism-related concerns and more are addressed at Northwestern University’s Speech, Language, and Learning (SLL) Clinic in Evanston. Multidisciplinary evaluations for overlapping communication and cognitive concerns are also available.
Older students and adults frequently request evaluations focusing on learning issues affecting academic and workplace success, accent and dialect modification, professional speaking development and transgender/transsexual voice issues. Changes in health may affect communication and cognition abilities as well.
