Don Perille, Who Served Skokie for Decades, Dies
The longtime plan commissioner was a Korean War veteran and had a spot on the Honor Flight just weeks ago.

SKOKIE, IL - A man who served the village of Skokie in one capacity or another for more than a half-century passed away last week.
Donald P. Perille, 88, a former village trustee and longtime plan commission chairman, passed away on Sept. 12.
Perille was a veteran of the Korean War and experienced one of his final joys just a few weeks ago when he was on board an Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C., according to an obituary from Haben Funeral Home.

He graduated from the University of Illinois and held a public position in Skokie for 52 years. He stepped down as trustee in 2013.
