DUI Crackdown Planned in Skokie This Weekend
Police will be at checkpoints on Dempster Street and McCormick Boulevard Friday and Saturday nights.

SKOKIE, IL - Police in Skokie announced plans this week to take part in an impaired driving crackdown on Friday and Saturday nights.
Officers will be out in full force at 5100 Dempster St. on Friday, May 8 beginning at 11:15 p.m. through 3:15 a.m. and at 8700 McCormick Blvd. the following night from 11:15 p.m. to 3:15 a.m. A police nixle alert indicates the checkpoints in those areas is part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, which is the result of an “overwhelming number of late-night impaired drivers and seat belt law violators.”
