Don’t miss the opportunity to attend the Skokie Farmers’ Market on Sundays this fall.

Come see what the season brings to the Skokie Farmers’ Market. You will not be able to resist delicious apples including the coveted honey crisp and ginger gold varieties. The season also offers squash, brussel sprouts, various lettuces, mushrooms, eggplant, potatoes and much more.

The Skokie Farmers’ market, which is hosted by the Skokie Consumer Affairs Commission and is conveniently located in the Village Hall parking lot, 5127 Oakton. Hours are 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

The Farmers’ Market in September is a must see! Check out some of the activities scheduled:

· Every Sunday through September 28 – Free Yoga on the Green at 10 a.m. Hosted by the Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie

· September 7 – Document Destruction event, held in the parking lot across from the Market on Oakton Street and Floral Avenue from 9 a.m. to noon

· September 21 – Entertainment for children by RC Juggle from 9 a.m. to noon

During the last market day of the season on Sunday, October 26, members of the Consumer Affairs Commission will hand out a free trick-or-treat bag with a treat to children who attend in costume. Children are invited to trick-or-treat from 8 a.m. to noon at each vendor stand and participate in a Guess the Pumpkin’s Weight contest and raffle. The Commission also is accepting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry will be collected at the Consumer Affairs Commission table in the Market on this day. No glass jars and perishable items please.
