Dorothy Roberts, Professor of Law and Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania, speaks March 31st, on “Fatal Invention: Re-creating Race in the 21st Century.” Roberts decries the “search by some genetic scientists for racial differences at the molecular level” and the attempts to treat race as a biological category. She will challenge “this resurgence of racial science” in a supposedly post-racial society and call on us ”to reaffirm our common humanity.”
