Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois vice president-publicity Martin Fischer will present a genealogical research case study titled “The Most Famous Man in America You Never Heard Of” on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Temple Beth Israel, 3601 W. Dempster St., Skokie.  Fischer will explain how he used online and microfilm resources to uncover a vast amount of information about a relative whose name appeared hundreds of times in newspapers throughout the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The JGSI meeting facilities at Temple Beth Israel will open at 12:30 p.m. to accommodate members/guests who want to use genealogy library materials, get help with genealogy websites on the Internet, or ask genealogical questions before the main program begins at 2 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.jewishgen.org/jgsi or phone (312) 666-0100.
