District 219 is holding several sports camps this winter to help young athletes learn new skills, stay fit, and be competitive. There are D219 youth sports camps for water polo, softball, baseball and football, open to students who attend elementary schools and junior highs in Niles Township, and held at Niles North High School, Niles West High School and the Skokie Park District’s Weber Center Gymnasium. Niles North Junior Vikings Free Off Season Workouts will be held from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. the following Sundays: January 29, February 12, February 26, March 11, March 25 and April 22. This program for boys from 2nd grade to 8th grade and will be held in the Niles North Fieldhouse, 9800 Lawler, Skokie. Junior Vikings Football is part of the Greater Chicagoland Youth Football Conference and United Youth Football.
