Massimo Pigliucci, professor of philosophy at the City University of New York, speaks September 18th at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago in Skokie. His topic is "The Intelligent Person’s Guide to the Meaning of Life." A genetic biologist and advocate of science education, Pigliucci will discuss the concept of “sci-phi,” which combines science’s empiricism with philosophy’s rationalism to form a unified, inclusive search for knowledge and the meaning and value of human life.
All are invited to Coffee Hour after the talk. The Sunday programs are free and open to the public, and childcare is available. For more information, please visit http://www.ethicalhuman.org.
