TOASTMASTERS TO CONDUCT LEADERSHIP EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS
The Chicago Toastmasters district will conduct a half day leadership educational seminar on Saturday, December 11th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northshore Holiday Inn in Skokie.
In tough economic times, it's important to make yourself as valuable as possible – whether you're holding down a job or seeking employment. Here's a hard truth: In most companies, leaders are generally considered more valuable than those who follow. They're paid more, allowed to plan their own schedules and given a larger share of responsibility.

Characteristics of Leaders
Leaders influence and inspire group members and motivate followers to achieve a mission or goal. They have power. This program defined the qualities that determine effective leaders and helps participants identify their own leadership style and determine the team's leadership needs.
Developing Your Leadership Skills
To be an effective leader, you must have the ability to accept and overcome challenges. By being a positive influence, you will help members to function productively and to deliver quality performance. This module teaches the skills and techniques needed to be an effective leader, such as contracting for excellence, teambuilding, motivation and coaching.
Leading a Team Environment
This educational program helps participants learn to use leadership skills as they pertain to working with and leading teams.
Each seminar will run for fifty minutes. The program is free and open to Toastmasters and guests. Advance registration required.
