Free Cup o' Joe Sunday at New Rubi Coffee Kiosks
Get a free cup of coffee in Evanston on Sunday at two new Rubi kiosks.

From the same company that brought us Redbox and Coinstar, we now have Rubi — an automated, made-to-order coffee kiosk.
So far, there are two of them in Evanston. If you stop by one this Sunday, you can get a free small cup of Seattle's Best Coffee by using the code RUBI929 in honor of National Coffee Day. If you want a larger size, the same code will take $1 off the price.
You'll find the kiosks in Evanston at Dominicks at 1910 Dempster and at Sam's Club at 2450 Main Street. Click here for kiosk locations in other towns.
What exactly is Rubi? Here's how they described themselves to us in a news release:
"Rubi kiosks feature the latest technology to serve made-to-order coffee and specialty drinks. Each cup begins with fresh, premium-quality Arabica beans from Seattle’s Best Coffee, run through a precision burr grinder and brewed on-demand in a French press-style chamber using filtered water. Rubi kiosks offer further individual customization by allowing customers to choose their desired levels of sweetener and creamer via Rubi’s dynamic and easy to use touch screen."
