Free Healthcare Symposium: Coping With COVID-19
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn and share strategies to overcome stress in groups for all ages Nov. 12.
You are invited to join other members of the community on Thursday, November 12, from 6-7:30pm, to hear about current COVID-19 trends, with opportunities to learn and share practical strategies to combat related stress. This online public event, presented by the Skokie Community Foundation along with many other community organizations, will include remarks from Dr. Catherine Counard, Medical Officer for the Office of Health Protection at the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Taking care of yourself: Techniques to de-stress for all ages, including chair yoga and breathing techniques. Supporting children ages 0-14: For parents/caregivers seeking to support the social/emotional well-being of their kids. Supporting young adults: For parents/caregivers of high school and college students, handling normal stress and more serious warning signs. Active Adults Staying Connected: Especially for older adults, connecting with others and the outside world. Creating community connection: Coming together to create a sense of purpose and belonging.
