Illinois Nut and Candy Named Merchant of the Year

Illinois Nut and Candy, 3745 Dempster Street has been named the Merchant of the Year by the Skokie Consumer Affairs Commission.

The commission reviewed approximately 350 ballots, nominating 25 different Skokie businesses in choosing the candy store as the top merchant of 2015. Riser Veterinary Hospital, 5335 Touhy Avenue was the runner-up.

Illinois Nut and Candy will receive a plaque and a perpetual Merchant of the Year trophy that has their business name engraved. The trophy will be on display at Illinois Nut and Candy for one year. They will also be honored at the August 17 village board meeting.
