Fans Fawn Over Jennifer Hudson's Fit Appearance
Hudson was at Barnes & Noble at Westfield Old Orchard Mall to promote her new book, 'I Got This: How I Changed my Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down.' The book talks about her experiences from 'American Idol' to losing more than 80 pounds.
Jennifer Hudson stopped by at on Tuesday night. And judging by the crowd's reaction, the Chicago native looked fabulous.
Hudson, who lost 80 pounds through Weight Watchers, was in Skokie to promote her new book, I Got This: How I Changed my Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down. The biography was released last week by Penguin Group.
The Academy Award-winning actress writes about her rise with American Idol to her standout performance in Dream Girls. Hudson also touches on the inspirational motivation her son David Jr. gave her to live a more healthy lifestyle.

Hudson has told the Huffington Post in the past that people "definitely" treat her differently now that she's slimmed down.
"I always say you never understand unless you've been on a journey like this," Hudson told the Huffington Post during an interview about her book. "People are friendlier; there are more opportunities, more flexibility in so many different ways.

"I think it's messed up that people are so image-driven and your appearance affects the way people treat you," she added. "It's crazy and it may be something we do subconsciously, but there it is."
An enthusiastic throng of about 200 fans greeted the singer Tuesday night, fawning over her fit appearance and shouting compliments at the star. Hudson is currently on a nationwide tour promoting the book and is also a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
