"The Mystery of the Green Dumpster," an Israeli documentary, will be screened by the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Temple Beth Israel, 3601 W. Dempster St., Skokie. In this engaging award-winning film, filmmaker Tal Haim Yoffe embarks on a year-long genealogical research effort to reunite long-lost photos with the Israeli family who should have them. The JGSI meeting facilities in Temple Beth Israel will open at 12:30 p.m. to accommodate members who want to get help with genealogy websites on the Internet or to ask genealogical questions. JGSI?s genealogical research library will also be available for perusal or for borrowing selected volumes before the main program begins at 2 p.m.
