Kaufman's Ranked as a Top 10 Bagel Shop in Chicagoland

SKOKIE, IL - A popular spot for bagels in Skokie was mentioned as one of the “10 best bagel shops around Chicago” in a list from the Chicagoist earlier this year.

Kaufman's Bagel & Delicatessen, at 4905 Dempster St., was one of only three suburban bagel hot spots to make the list. The others were in Deerfield and Wheeling.

The Chicagoist article explains that Kaufman’s “makes from-scratch everything, starting with its own naturally fermented ryes.

“No one’s going to fault you for ordering some sprinkle cookies, but it’s bagels cradling no-joke sandwiches — like David’s CJF with sable, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and veggie cream cheese — that shouldn’t be missed.”
