Let's DUET - Joanie Winter and John Eskola

An evening of duets at Skokie Theatre

A ROLLICKING ROMP OF GOOD MUSIC, GOOD HARMONIES & LOTS OF GOOD FUN!

Two soloists blending....smoothly, consistently and with finesse. Every song is a duet. The eclectic program ranges form the Great American Songbook (I Hear Music, Somewhere Over the Rainbow)...to Pop (Scarborough Fair, Ain't No Mountain High Enough)...to Doo Wop (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)...to Broadway (EVITA, HAMILTON). There are wonderful surprises to elicit smiles, laughter and cheers. Don't miss it!

In the almost 5 decades of performing, Joanie Winter’s resume spans theatre, commercials, films, TV, radio, trade shows, industrials, jingles, Children’s Theatre and Cabaret. Even before graduating from Northwestern University as a Theatre Major, she began her professional career in AEA Musical Theatre. She is most proud of understudying the lead role of Eva Peron in the Hal Prince National Tour of EVITA, which began at Chicago’s Shubert Theatre. A sampling of a few favorite leading roles in productions from coast to coast are: Agnes - I DO! I DO!; Meg - DAMN YANKEES; Melissa - STATE FAIR; Sarah - GUYS & DOLLS; Domina – A FUNNY THING; Laurie - OKLAHOMA; Tuptim - KING & I; Antonia - MAN of LA MANCHA. She currently appears regularly with the SAG-AFTRA Sr. Radio Players (Chicago Cultural Ctr.), giving life to characters from ages 8 to 80, acting, singing and even dancing, including: ALL ABOUT EVE, STAGE DOOR, MEET ME IN ST LOUIS, etc.
