LongHorn Steakhouse to Open in Skokie

Newest Touhy Ave. restaurant will open doors at 11 a.m.

The newest LongHorn Steakhouse will open its doors at 3300 Touhy Ave. in Skokie at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The restaurant, which will be led by Sara Plank as managing partner, is 6,282 square feet and will seat more than 240 guests and create approximately 80-100 new jobs for the surrounding community. LongHorn currently operates more than 475 restaurants in 40 states.

According to a press release, LongHorn “prides itself on its fresh, never frozen, expertly grilled and boldly seasoned steaks.”

“The restaurant’s design is inspired by the American West and is reminiscent of a rancher’s home. Its interiors feature updated, contemporary artwork and sculptures of horses, western landscapes and sunsets complemented by warm tones, wood, stone and steel fixtures.”

The restaurant’s Prime Time menu will feature late afternoon specials, including a variety of $3, $4 and $5 drinks and appetizers. Prime Time is offered Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., and features dishes like the spicy chicken bites and sweet corn fritters.
