Man Shot in Skokie During Armed Robbery Wednesday Night
The 54-year-old victim was driving a relative home from work when he was shot on Oakton Street.

SKOKIE, IL — A 54-year-old man was shot in Skokie Wednesday night while struggling with two men who were robbing him.
Police responded to the 4300 block of Oakton Street around 10:15 p.m., when they found the victim had been shot in the legs. The man was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston with non life-threatening injuries. He was in the midst of transporting a family member from work near Dempster Street and Bronx Avenue when the armed robbery occurred, according to police.
The suspects were seen by witnesses entering a vehicle and fleeing eastbound on Oakton after the shooting. They are described as black men between the ages of 18 and 20 and wearing hooded sweatshirts.
