Man Sues Nordstrom's in Skokie Over Alleged Fight
A customer claims the retail store was negligent in allowing an altercation between him and another patron to escalate.

The Nordstrom’s store in Skokie is being sued for negligence over an altercation between two customers.
Oren Orkin, a resident of Cook County, filed the suit this week against the store at 4937 Old Orchard Center claiming he was threatened and ultimately involved in an altercation from an escalating argument near the fitting rooms of the men’s department with another patron on June 21, according to the Cook County Record.
According to the suit, Orkin suffered numerous injuries, including fractures to his collar bone after being struck in the head multiple times. He says Nordstrom’s negligence comes from allowing the altercation to escalate, causing him to expend money for medical expenses and harming his quality of life.
