Missing Senior Citizen Found Sleeping in Skokie Backyard
Police say the 71-year old did not have a cell phone and could not speak English after getting lost on a bike.

SKOKIE, IL - A missing man from Norridge was found two days later sleeping in a Skokie backyard.
Kujtim Mimini, 71, an Albanian, had only been in the United States for three months and did not speak any English when he went for a bike ride to watch and feed deer in the Schiller Woods Forest Preserve on Thursday. But he never returned home, sparking a search of the area by police and Homeland Security officials, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Police say he got lost and was unable to ask for directions because he did not speak English and was not carrying a cell phone. He was found Saturday morning at a home near Crawford Avenue and Madison Street by a concerned citizen who called police.
“He’s only been in the U.S. for about three months, so when he got lost he was unable to communicate with anyone,” said Police Sergeant Brian Loughran of the Norridge Police Department.
