Motorcyclist Killed In Crash In Skokie

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car late Friday night in Skokie, according to police.

SKOKIE, IL — A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Chicago was killed in a crash late Friday night in Skokie.

Skokie police responded to the crash just before 10 p.m. in the 5000 block of Touhy Avenue.

When authorities arrived, they determined that a vehicle that was traveling westbound turned left to enter a business while the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound. According to police, the motorcyclist collided with the passenger side of the car.

The motorcyclist, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner at Mohammed R. Ali, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the car involved in the collision remained on scene and cooperated with authorities, police said.

The North Regional Major Crimes Task Force, Major Crash Assistance Team assisted Skokie authorities with the investigation.
