“M*A*S*H” is a stylized black comedy depicting the adventures of a unit of medical personnel stationed at a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) during the Korean War. It features an all-star cast directed by Robert Altman and received five academy award nominations, most of which were lost to Patton. The movie also inspired the popular and critically acclaimed television series , which ran from 1972 to 1983.
